Vernon to move post times this week to 1:15 p.m.

Vernon, NY — Vernon Downs will be moving post time for this week’s races on Thursday, October 1, Friday, October 2, and Saturday, October 3, to 1:15 p.m. (EDT), pending regulatory approval.
The change in post time is due to the transformers that caught fire on Saturday, September 26. Management is working on fixing the transformers, but does not know the exact amount of time necessary for repair, therefore the change in post was necessary.
Qualifiers at Vernon Downs on Friday, October 2, will be held at 10 a.m. instead of 11 a.m. and entries should still be called into the Vernon Downs Race Office on Thursday at 315.829.6816.
