Veterinarian Seth Fishman gets 11-year sentence

Columbus, OH –  According to a story on drf.com, “Seth Fishman, a Florida-based drug and equine supplements manufacturer whose products were used by Thoroughbred and Standardbred trainers, was sentenced to 11 years in prison on Monday for his conviction on two federal counts of conspiring to violate drug adulteration and misbranding laws.

”In addition to his prison time, Fishman will be held jointly responsible for $25 million in restitution along with all the others convicted in the case and must forfeit $13.5 million, the amount that prosecutors contend he earned from his business of manufacturing and distributing performance-enhancing substances designed to evade detection. Fishman’s sentencing also included a $250,000 fine.”
