Orono, ME — As part of their mission to prove their motto: “After the Finish Line, We Are Not Finished”, the University of Maine Standardbred Drill Team presented a six-horse performance for a Maine Veterinary group meeting at Witter Farm on Saturday, November 5, 2011.

Moving to the theme from “Top Gun”, the mares showed the wonderful versatility of the Standardbred and proved, once again, what a great horse this breed is under saddle and for pleasure purposes. The horses involved are all trained by an instructor and students who are involved in the equine program. All the riders are University of Maine students.

The horses involved in this drill are Dorunbluefortunate, Fifth Ave Sweetart, Honor Society, Jazzy Yankee, Lacy Asset and Just Whinnie.
