Video of Stan Bergstein Writing Award available

Lexington, KY — Full video is available here of the presentation of the $25,000 Stan Bergstein Writing Award to Chris Wittstruck for a column that appeared on the United States Trotting Association website.

The award ceremony on Nov. 12 at Fasig-Tipton’s sales pavilion in Lexington, Ky., featured speeches from racetrack owner Jeff Gural on combating illicit drugs in horse racing, Ben Nichols of the World Anti-Doping Agency on the media’s important role in the “clean sport” movement, and Team Valor founder and CEO Barry Irwin on the state of racing coverage in 2015.

More than 125 people attended the ceremony, including students from the University of Kentucky, University of Louisville and National Racing Academy.
