Want to share in top contenders’ Adios earnings? Now, you can

Washington, PA — Wouldn’t it be great to share in the Adios purses won by two of the top contenders, Southwind Gendry and Lou’s Pearlman? Now, thanks to a unique contribution from the horses’ owners, you may win a drawing that will give you that thrill.

The Ron Burke stable and Weaver Bruscemi are donating one percent of the earnings of those horses in Saturday’s Delvin Miller Adios Pace for the Orchids to help the Standardbred Transition Alliance. Since the Adios final goes for $375,000, Southwind Gendry and Lou’s Pearlman could collect up to $281,250 with a 1-2 finish, meaning the lucky ticketholder would win more than $2,800.

The Adios raffle is the centerpiece of the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association benefit for the STA set for Wednesday (July 28), 6–9 p.m., at The Meadows’ Parlay Lounge. The event features two ticket tracks. A $25 ticket includes appetizers, a drink and a chance to win $1,000 in a drawing. Entry to the Adios winnings drawing requires a separate $5 ticket, and the winner need not be present. Thus, a $30 donation gets you involved in both drawings.
