Columbus, OH — Scioto Downs is the only place in Central Ohio to watch and wager on the Breeders’ Cup.

For one weekend only the Thoroughbreds take center stage from the Standardbreds at Eldorado Scioto Downs because this weekend the Downs is the only place in Central Ohio to watch and wager on the Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred Championships, live from The Great Race Place, Santa Anita Park.

More than $26 million in purse money will be up for grabs over the two-day event, and there promises to be plenty of thrills on the track as well as the betting windows.

First post time for Friday’s 10 race-card is 2:25 p.m. (EDT). Four of those 10 races are Breeders’ Cup events, highlighted by the Breeders’ Cup Distaff (race nine). Advance wagering for the entire Saturday card will be available all day and night on Friday.

Saturday’s first post time at Santa Anita is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. (EDT) with the main event, race 12, the $6 million Breeders Cup Classic scheduled to go to post at 8:35 p.m. (EDT).

The Penthouse and Clubhouse will be open for patron simulcasting options on Saturday and no reservations are needed.
