TORONTO – The Woodbine Entertainment Group would like to remind both fans and horse people of the schedule amendments for live racing and qualifiers during the holiday season and upcoming new year.

There will be no live racing on Christmas Day (Monday, December 25), but there will be a special afternoon card on Boxing Day (Tuesday, December 26) with a first race post time of 1:20 p.m.

There will not be a qualifying session at Mohawk on Tuesday, December 26, but qualifying will resume on Friday, December 29.

There will be special afternoon cards of racing on both Sunday, December 31 (New Year’s Eve day) and Monday, January 1 (New Year’s Day), with first race post times of 1:20 p.m.

When the calendar flips to 2007, there will be a change in both the racing and qualifying schedule.

The regular racing schedule for Woodbine’s 2007 winter/spring meet will be Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings (with 7:40 p.m. first race post times), and Sunday afternoons (with 1:20 p.m. first race post times).

In regards to qualifying, there will not be a session on Monday January 1, but during the winter meet Mohawk will hold qualifiers on Monday and Friday mornings.
