Delaware, OH — Jeff Snyder, one of the owners of North America Cup and Meadowlands Pace winner Well Said, says, “We have the date of the Little Brown Jug circled on our calendar.”

Well Said, who also won the 2008 Breeders Crown 2-year-old colt pace, has captured five of six starts this season and has career earnings of $1,798,808. Susan Grange’s Lothlorien of Cheltenham, Ontario, also owns half-interest in the son of Western Hanover.

“It is a little bit early to say for certain we will start Well Said in the Jug, but we love the race and the Delaware County Fair is a great experience. We will race in the Adios (eliminations) this week and in the Holmes on August 8 at The Meadowlands,” Snyder said.

Snyder, from New York City, owned 2002 Little Brown Jug champion Million Dollar Cam. Well Said is trained by Steve Elliott, who trained 2006 Meadowlands Pace winner Artistic Fella and 2007 Hambletonian and Horse of the Year Donato Hanover. Hall of Famer Ron Pierce, who drives Well Said, has won the Jug three times with Shady Character (1998), Blissfull Hall (1999) and Timesareachanging (2004).
