from Western Fair Media Relations

London, ON — Western Fair Raceway will recognize its top performers over this past racing season, human and equine, at their annual awards banquet on Feb. 26.

The criteria for recognition of the horses is that they must have made at least six starts at the London, Ontario, half-mile track during the 2010 season. It is then based on purse earnings. In the claiming horse category the winners are determined by wins as are the trainer and driver awards.

The banquet gets underway at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception followed by a dinner, awards ceremony and great live entertainment with local talent Sarah and Jeff. Tickets are still available and, if ordered before Feb. 14, are at a discounted rate of $40 ($45 at the door).
