London, ON — The intense snow storms that hit the London area with more than 100 cm of snow has forced Western Fair to cancel its program of live racing for Tuesday, Dec. 7.

A snow squall warning has been issued for London and the surrounding areas and the City of London is considering calling a state of emergency to deal with the snow that has resulted from the storms. All City of London services are closed today while snow clearing crews are out in full force. The forecast is calling for an addition 20 to 30 cm of snow throughout today and into tomorrow.

Western Fair’s next scheduled card of racing is set for Thursday with a 3:35 p.m. post time.
