Within a week Björn Goop has won three Group 1 races at the different tracks in Sweden.

Saturday afternoon (Aug. 20), Goop won the E3 final for colts at Ôrebro with Stefan Melander-owned/trained Following, a 3-year-old colt sired by Nuncio. Following won in 1:54f and got a check for $95,000.

Last Saturday (Aug. 14) Goop won the Aby Stora Pris, driving Moni Viking at Aby, Gothenburg and Wednesday night (Aug. 17) he won the Jubilee Trophy at Solvalla, Stockholm with San Moteur.

Combined the winners’ purses were 4 million SEK — or $380,000.

The filly division in the E3 was won by the Italian filly Dea Grif, sired by Varenne. Dea Grif is trained by Jerry Riordan and Finnish driver Santtu Raitala was in the bike. Dea Grif was timed in 1:55.2f.
