WHHC leg spices Meadowlands Saturday night

from the Meadowlands Media Relations Department

East Rutherford, NJ — Racing at The Meadowlands on Saturday (Feb. 25) is an interesting mix of a dozen pacing races.

Included among them are four divisions of the second leg of the popular Race for the G-Notes series made ultra-competitive by the ensuing scramble for the coveted ten positions in next week’s $15,000 final.

The overnight feature is race 11 where the red-hot Patty Harmon sends her streaking Jacksrluckytoo in pursuit of his fourth win of the new season for owner John Marvin Jr. Known for a powerful closing kick, Jacksrluckytoo shows final quarters in :27 or faster, including a mind-numbing :25.3 in a Feb. 4 win.

Jimmy Marohn Jr. has driven Jacksrluckytoo in many of his Meadowlands starts and has developed a keen sense for just how to position his mount and when to hit the turbo-charge button to get the job done.

It is a move up in class for Jacksrluckytoo and he’ll face stiff competition led by Ron Burke’s rugged vet Ontario Success and a pair of Heidi Rohr trainees in Calvin B and Bettor Rock On N.

The big news in the grandstand is another leg of the World Harness Handicapping Challenge with four seats in the April 29 final up for grabs. It’s also “Scratch & Win” night with prizes ranging from $2 to $500 plus hot dogs and free popcorn! Plus enter the second chance drawing to win $100!

Post time is 7:15 p.m.
