Who dominated in Delaware? Vote Now!

by T.J. Burkett, Associate Editor, Hoof Beats magazine

Bret Hanover in 1965. Niatross in 1980. Life Sign in 1994. Each of these pacing stars posted dominating performances in winning The Little Brown Jug, but which Jug winner was the most dominant on Jug Day?

We’re asking you to help us pick the most impressive Little Brown Jug winning performance in the 62-year history of America’s greatest pacing race. We’ve narrowed the list down to 16 winners, and every three days we will pit two Jug winners against one another to see who moves on in this bracket-style competition.

The poll begins with 1955 winner Quick Chief vs. 1997 winner Western Dreamer. To vote, click on the link to go to the Jug Showdown Web page, then refresh your Little Brown Jug memory by viewing the video analysis and the race charts provided. After casting your vote, be sure to check back often as the head-to-head matchups change every few days.

When the final poll concludes on July 18, the votes will be tallied and the winner will be announced on www.ustrotting.com. The winning horse will be featured in the September issue of Hoof Beats, along with the completed bracket and vote totals.

Help Hoof Beats magazine and www.ustrotting.com determine who was the most impressive Little Brown Jug winner ever by voting today!
