Wild Honey is ready to race in Europe

The 2015 Hambletonian Oaks winner Wild Honey will make her European debut on Wednesday night (April 13) at Bergsaker in Northern Sweden.

Wild Honey was supposed to race three weeks ago, but had to be scratched because of a slight fever. Now she is ready and trainer Daniel Redén has entered her in a race for older mares. The distance is 1-5/16th miles and top driver Ôrjan Kihlström will be in the bike. Wild Honey will face other North American bred mares like Bostonz Credit and Cantabs Fortune.

Later in the evening trotting star Nuncio, driven by Stefan Melander, will race for the second time this year at Solvalla. Nuncio will race in The Onions race over the mile and will meet a field of 10. Among those are Smilin Eli, Nothing But Class, Food Money and Nato Dream, who all are North American bred.

Stefan Melander, who last Wednesday won a very convincing race with Uncle Lasse, has another top class North American 4-year-old trotter in his stable, French Laundry, who he will race within the next couple of weeks.
