The front-ending Wild Wild Western enjoyed a :29.3 second-quarter breather but found himself confronted late by the first-over Surreal Ideal outside and the pocket-sitting A Fair Ol Dance N in the Lightning Lane. The 7-year-old son of Western Ideal-Caila Fra dug in for Brady Brown and prevailed in 1:52.4 over a “good” surface. A Fair Ol Dance N was a head back in second with Surreal Ideal third.

Norm Parker trains Wild Wild Western, who now boasts 34 victories and earnings of $557,746 in 100 career starts, for Jacobs Creek Racing, Andrew Altobelli and Jon Deters.

Dave Palone piloted three winners on the 13-race card.

Live racing at The Meadows resumes Wednesday (Jan. 18), first post 12:45 p.m.
