Washington, PA — Mike Wilder continued his hot streak Friday (Feb, 27) at The Meadows, winning six times — including five straight — on the 12-race card. It was the second time this week he won as many as five races on a single program.

On Friday, Wilder swept races two-six, then added a win in race 11 for good measure. Two of Wilder’s victories were for trainer Ron Burke while he notched one win each for conditioners Dan Altmeyer, Jim Arledge Jr., Kris Rickert and Tyler Stillings.

In Friday’s feature, the $18,000 Filly & Mare Winners Over $10,000 Life Preferred Handicap Pace, Macharoundtheclock abandoned her customary closing style, roared to the early lead for Eric Ledford and scored an easy front-end victory in 1:53.4. Do Me Honor finished second, 1-1/2 lengths back, with Certified Ideal third.

Tim Twaddle trains Macharoundtheclock, a 5-year-old daughter of Mach Three-Summers Soul who now boasts $415,202 in career earnings, for Birnam Wood Farms.

Jim Pantaleano fashioned a three-bagger on Friday’s program.
