After his impressive win Friday night at The Meadowlands the 5-year-old gelding Wind Of The North was invited to race in the prestigious Elitlopp at Solvalla, Stockholm Sweden on May 31.

Wind Of The North caught the eyes of the organizers last week where he won at the Meadowlands in 1:53.1, and after his win Friday (April 17) in 1:52 the invitation was handed out.

At Pocono Downs last year he trotted a world record 1:51 mile for 4-year-old geldings. The United States will now be represented in the Elitlopp by Wind Of The North and Maven.

Wind Of The North is trained and part-owned by Daryl Bier. Who will drive North Of The Wind in Stockholm has yet to be decided.
