East Rutherford, NJ — Prairie Sweetheart, the Florida-sired super mare, entered her 4-year-old and Meadowlands debut with a perfect 14-for-14 career mark. But then she ran into a fellow 4-year-old who was sitting on a monster race.

David Miller pilots Windsun Glory through a blazing :25.4 final quarter-mile to best the previously undefeated Prairie Sweetheart.

Windsun Glory converted a perfect second-over trip into a jaw-dropping :25.4 final quarter to defeat Inittowinafortune and the pace-setting Prairie Sweetheart in the $18,000 Meadowlands feature on Friday. The final time was 1:51.2.

John Campbell moved Prairie Sweetheart to the front after a :27.1 first quarter-mile. The Ross Croghan-trained daughter of Royal Millenium continued to lead through a half mile in :56.1 and three-quarters in 1:24.4. At that point, David Miller picked up a second-over trip behind long shot Nerida Franco. He tipped three-wide at the head of the stretch and set sail with the breathtaking final quarter.

Windsun Glory has now won four times in six starts since joining Ron Burke’s stable. Overall, she has won 10 races in 28 starts with earnings of $136,246. She is nominated to all three of the major mare stakes at the Meadowlands: Golden Girls, Lady Liberty, and TVG Mares Series.

One week after his 62nd birthday, John Campbell won three races including a pair for trainer Ross Croghan.

Post-time favorites won only two of 10 races with the average $2 win payoff $18.00.

Total handle was $1,909,597.
