Winslow Chill wins amatuer event at Plainridge

by Jack Ginnetti

Marlborough, MA — It was a long time in coming for Winslow Chill to gain his first win of the season, but in Thursday’s New England Amateur Drivers Club claiming pace he sent chills through the Plainridge faithful.

Owned, driven and trained by Bill Abdelnour, the former Worcester, Mass. school teacher scored his first win in over three months with a length win over Mistervolare and the Power Ofwealth, covering the mile in 1:57.

His victory lit up the tote board and paid $94.60 to win and produced a trifecta of $4,692.60.

Abdelnour was one of the founders who organized the New England Amateur Drivers Club at Plainridge in 2002.
