Columbus, OH — Due to inclement weather, Dover Downs, Freehold Raceway, and Monticello Raceway have canceled their live racing programs for Thursday (Jan. 4).

In addition, The Meadowlands and Winners Bayonne OTW will be closed for simulcasting Thursday. The track and Winners are scheduled to re-open for simulcasting on Friday (Jan. 5) at 11 a.m.

Live racing at The Meadowlands has also been cancelled for Friday and Saturday due to dangerously low temperatures. The Meadowlands will be open for simulcasting.

Monticello cancels Friday card

Due to the excessive cold and expected wind chill temperatures, Monticello Raceway has canceled its live racing card on Friday (Jan. 5).

Live racing will resume on Monday (Jan. 8) with a 12:20 p.m. post time.

Raceway cancels Friday qualifiers

The Raceway in London, Ont., wishes to advise horse people that Friday morning’s (Jan. 5) qualifying session for this week has been canceled.

The next qualifying session will be held on Friday (Jan. 12) at 11 a.m.

Live racing is scheduled for Friday night at a new start time of 6:55 p.m.

Freehold cancels Friday card

Freehold Raceway has cancelled live racing for Friday (Jan. 5) but will remain open for simulcast.

Yonkers Raceway cancels Friday simulcasting

Yonkers has scrapped its Friday (Jan. 5) simulcasting, due to any number of weather-related cancellations. Daytime simulcasting is scheduled to resume Saturday (Jan. 6), with updates as needed. Note that evening simulcasting returns during Yonkers’ first night program of the season (Monday, Jan. 8).

Woodbine cancels Saturday card

Due to extreme cold weather, tonight’s card Saturday (Jan. 6) of live Standardbred racing at Woodbine Racetrack has been cancelled.

Live racing is scheduled to resume on Monday evening. Post time is 7:10 p.m.
