Wishing Stone takes over top spot in Poll

Freehold, NJ — Older trotter Wishing Stone, fresh off being named Horse of the Month for May by the U.S. Trotting Association, is the new No. 1-ranked horse in the Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll. Wishing Stone, who was idle last week, was second in the season’s first ratings.
Golden Receiver, who was No. 1, slipped to second after a seventh-place finish in the TVG Free For All Championship Series over the weekend.
Three-year-old filly trotter Bee A Magician, who is 3-for-3 and won her division of the Casual Breeze last week, hit the Top 10 at No. 9 while 3-year-old colt trotter Smilin Eli, also 3-for-3, was a newcomer at No. 10 after winning the New Jersey Sire Stakes championship.
