Worlds Apart wins Hirt preliminary

East Rutherford, NJ — Worlds Apart ($14.60, $6.20, $3.20) got up in the final strides to win the sixth race, the first of three $18,000 divisions of the Clyde Hirt Series on Thursday night at the Meadowlands.

Worlds Apart, driven by Cat Manzi and trained by Noel Daley, won by a head over the pacesetter, Cam’s Primetime ($3.20, $2.20) who settled for second. It was two lengths back to Jacksbrotherjoe ($3.80) in third. The mile was timed in 1:53 flat.

Worlds Apart, now two for two in Hirt Series action, advances to the $90,000 Hirt Series Final on January 31, 2004. The four-year-old son of Life Sign has finished in the money in 15 of 22 career starts for earnings of $121,702.

In the other two Hirt divisions, winning performances were turned in by Visitor Parking ($14.40) by three-quarters of a length over Odds On Michael in 1:553, and It’s Not Luck ($24.80) by a neck over Hustlin Rustler in 1:534.
