Wrenn takes slight lead in battle for North American dash title

Northfield, OH — Aaron Merriman and Ronnie Wrenn Jr. are in a fierce battle for the 2014 national dash driving title. The duo entered Northfield Park’s Monday (Dec. 29) program with Merriman holding a slim 834-833 lead over Wrenn. They exited the card with Wrenn gaining an 837-836 lead over Merriman.

Wrenn posted wins with Victory Candy Man in race three, Onhishonor Hanover in race four, Team Zordin in race five and Mystic Desire in race 10. Merriman’s driving double consisted of Ubetterubetterubet in race 13 and Idbegoodatthat in race 15.

With the year winding down, the two will square off again on Tuesday night at Northfield Park. Each has a full slate of drives. With one win separating the two driving talents, their performances will be crucial in this highly contested race. The Tuesday action is set to begin at 6 p.m.
