Ric Flair became a U.S. Trotting Association member on Tuesday (March 27).

Flair, who for years was associated with professional wrestling’s The Four Horsemen, recently became a real horseman with a birthday present and is now officially a member of the harness racing community with his membership.

“Now, I’m a stylin’ and profilin’ USTA member! Wooooo,” said Flair.

At the Dan Patch Awards dinner in Orlando, Fla., on Feb. 25, as a special guest of co-owner Scott Robinson, Flair was invited on stage with the rest of the ownership group for the presentation of the Dan Patch Award to the top 2-year-old pacing colt, Lost In Time.

In accepting the award, Robinson noted that it was Flair’s 69th birthday and while he was a man with the best of many things in life, he didn’t have the best horse.

And with that, Robinson announced that he was going to give Flair a percentage of ownership in Lost In Time as a birthday gift with plans to have him licensed as a harness horse owner and listed in the ownership of the horse when he returns to racing this year.
