Yall Beneath Me leads Maryland Sire Stakes winners

Ft. Washington, MD — Yall Beneath Me cruised to his seventh straight win to start his career as the fastest 2-year-old colt trotter in Maryland Sires Stakes and Rosecroft history easily disposed of seven other foes in 1:55.1 to take the $70,000 Sire Stakes final on Sunday night (Sept. 29).

Russell Foster guided the son of Googoo Gaagaa for owner-trainer Richard Hans. His freshman earnings now sit at $95,650.

The $70,000 2-year-old filly trot no doubt would have lit up the toteboard had it been a betting event, as Grey upset the field in picking up her first lifetime win in eight starts. Allan Davis skimmed the pylons and edged Winnie The Goo and Callmegaga in 1:58.4. Michael Hall trains the daughter of Charlie De Vie for the CTC Stable and the L. A. Express Stable.

In the $70,000 2-year-old colt pace, Jordons All In and stablemate Nvrfearlloydishere locked up for the second straight week and just like last week, the gelding track record holder Jordons All In won, this time in 1:52.4 for driver John Wagner. Arlene Cameron trains for owner Pamela Wagner.

Fire Me Up and Jared Moyer won the $70,000 2-year-old filly pace as she won for the fourth time this year in eight starts in 1:56.1. Trainer Cameron gave owner Wagner her second win of the night. The daughter of Rusty’s All In left hard with favorite Breeze Away B alongside and the favorite was dead set on cutting it and made a nasty break and ended up inside the course. Amazingly she rallied for third but was disqualified for leaving the course for a significant time.

Two great opens highlighted the card as Capital Builder and Jonathan Roberts won a thrilling three horse photo in 1:51.1 gaining his seventh victory of the year. Megan Roberts trains for her father Bib. The winner out-dueled Romantic Interest who went first over and wore down pacesetter Star Messenger in the $12,500 Maryland Exclusive Open.

Rollinlikethunder rolled into town for the first time in 2019 and the closer did not let down owners Dan Warrington and Don Hawk as he came from eighth in a field of nine to win in 1:50.3, a new lifetime best. Eddie Davis Jr. steered the winner for trainer Eli Scott Jr.

Allan Davis had three wins on the night, Frank Milby, Roberts, and Foster all had two wins on the card.
