Yonkers, NY — Yonkers Raceway’s 2009 live harness schedule begins Friday night, Jan. 9, with approval from the New York State Racing and Wagering Board.

The Board approved the Raceway’s January portion of its ’09 schedule. After racing programs Friday and Saturday nights (Jan. 9 and 10), Yonkers resumes its five-night-per-week schedule (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday — all at 7:40 p.m. — and Saturday — 6:50 p.m.) the week of Monday, Jan. 12.

Yonkers’ final 2008 live program is scheduled for next Tuesday, Dec. 23. Evening harness simulcasting accompanies all live programs, with afternoon and thoroughbred simulcasting returning with the resumption of the NYRA schedule on Friday, Dec. 26.
