Yonkers’ 2011 season begins Jan. 13

Yonkers, NY — Yonkers Raceway’s 2011 racing season begins Thursday night (Jan. 13), with a dozen races and the usual 7:10 p.m. first post.

After programs of next Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the customary five-night-per-week live schedule (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday) returns the week of Monday, Jan 17.

Evening simulcasting accompanies all live programs, with afternoon simulcasting available around the NYRA schedule. Wednesday afternoon simulcasting ends at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Horsemen are reminded that nomination forms for Yonkers’ early-season series (Petticoat, Sagamore Hill, George Morton Levy Memorial and Blue Chip Matchmaker) are now available on-line at www.yonkersraceway.com, in the nightly racing program and through various trade publications as well as their respective websites.

Horsemen are also reminded that a current Coggins test has to be filed with the race office, as well as lifetime eligibilities with the USTA or renewed 2011 Canadian eligibilities. For more information, please contact the race office at 914.457.2627.
