Yonkers alters Thanksgiving week racing/draw schedule

by Frank Drucker, publicity director, Yonkers Raceway

Yonkers, NY — Horsemen should be advised of Yonkers Raceway’s altered racing/draw/scratch schedule for Thanksgiving Week.

The Raceway is dark Thursday, Nov. 26, with only late-morning to mid-afternoon thoroughbred simulcasting available. There is also no usual Thursday-for-next-Tuesday draw that day.

Please note a double draw (Monday/Tuesday, Nov. 30/Dec. 1) takes place Wednesday, Nov. 25, with the box closing at 9 a.m.

Please also note that scratch/change time for the Monday (Nov. 30) card, which usually takes place Thursday night, instead goes Friday night, along with scratches and changes for the Tuesday, Dec. 1, card.

Video Gaming Machines continue their usual daily 10 a.m.-2 a.m. schedule throughout the holiday.

Yonkers’ regular five-night-per-week schedule (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday) remains in effect. First post for all racing programs is 7:10 p.m. Evening simulcasting accompanies all live programs, with afternoon simulcasting available around the NYRA schedule.
