Yonkers, NY — Due to the brutal cold and subsequent humane (and human) concerns about transporting and racing the two- and four-legged, Yonkers Raceway has canceled its live program for Monday evening (Jan. 21).

It’s the second consecutive cancellation of 2019.

Evening simulcasting has also been canceled, with the afternoon version already having been scrapped after Aqueduct canceled its program.

Live racing is scheduled to resume Tuesday night (Jan. 22), with the usual first post of 6:50 p.m. The Pick-5 carryover in excess of $3,500 and $15,000 guaranteed pool now moves to Tuesday evening.
