Yonkers horsemen honor George Brennan

from the Standardbred Owners Association of New York

Yonkers, NY — When George Brennan was a teenager growing up in Monticello, New York, he would beg Joe Faraldo, longtime president of the Standardbred Owners Association of New York, to allow him to warm up his horses.

“Not until you finish your homework, Georgie,” was the standard reply.

Now, in a year when Brennan has achieved victories in the Hambletonian and Hambletonian Oaks, while again battling for the top spot on the national dash and earnings leader boards, Faraldo was recently quoted as saying, “Maybe homework isn’t all it’s cracked up to be!”

Brennan was recently honored by the SOA for his 7,000th career victory, a milestone recently achieved at Yonkers Raceway where Brennan sits atop the talented drivers colony in both dashs and money earnings.
