Yonkers, NY — When Yonkers Raceway returns Friday night, it does with a new wagering platform — and a new wager.

Yonkers is proud to announce the highly-anticipated debut of EmpireCityBets.com, its advance deposit wagering site which offers by far the highest rewards anywhere on Yonkers’ own product. EmpireCityBets.com also features all the major harness and Thoroughbred tracks, all with generous rewards.

“We are extremely excited about EmpireCityBets.com,” general manager Bob Galterio said. “It allows us to reward our loyal Yonkers Raceway fans while getting racing fans from all over to look at our tremendous product.

“If you’re a horseplayer, there’s no better site than EmpireCityBets.com. We have teamed with the Standardbred Owners Association of New York to present an ADW that rivals any other, and is unmatched for Yonkers players.

“We appreciate the continued cooperation from the SOA and the New York State Gaming Commission as we get ready for what we’re all confident is going to prove very successful.”

For sign-up information, complete with a reward schedule, terms, conditions, and a deposit match-play offer, visit www.EmpireCityBets.com. Those on-track patrons may visit an information booth located on the fourth floor during live racing hours and receive even more benefits.

Also Friday, Yonkers shall institute a new wager, a Pick-5 beginning in the fifth race. The 50-cent minimum wager is to be offered nightly and features a $10,000 guaranteed pool every Monday and Tuesday.

The Pick-5 has no consolation payoff. If no one selects all five winners, the entire pool carries over to the next wagering program.

After programs Friday and Saturday, the Raceway’s five-night-per-week schedule resumes next week, with first post every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:10 p.m. Evening simulcasting accompanies all live programs, with afternoon simulcasting available around the NYRA schedule.
