Yonkers, NY — Infused with a carryover in excess of $5,200, Yonkers Raceway’s Tuesday night (Jan. 16) Pick-5 wager figured to initiate some interest, which it did.

A total of $27,959 in new investments were added, creating a pool (after takeout) of $26,176 and some change. The winning combination of 3/3/2/3/5 returned $561.25 for every correct half-dollar ticket.

The Pick-5 is a 50-cent base wager comprising races seven through 11 during every racing card. It has no consolation payoff, meaning if no one selects all five winners (as was the case Monday night), the entire pool (minus takeout) moves to the next racing program.
