Youngster dominates in Dayton feature

Dayton, OH — Age is nothing but a number to 3-year-old filly Ainthesamewithoutu. As the youngest competitor in the field of seven to tackle Friday’s (Dec. 16) $25,300 Fillies and Mares Open Pace at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway, Ainthesamewithoutu dominated the mature mares with a 1:53 win.

Driver Tony Hall left the gate alertly with 8-5 favorite Ainthesamewithoutu. The daughter of Sweet Lou never gave the older mares a chance as she set fractions in :27.3, :56.3 and 1:23.4. Despite being challenged by 2-1 second choice Rockin Nola in the final turn, Ainthesamewithoutu urged on. Seemingly on cruise control, Ainthesamewithoutu tripped the wire three-quarters of a length in front.

Marloe Hanover (driven by Brett Miller) held on for second from the pocket while Classicist (Chris Page) swept three-wide off cover to finish third.

The victory was Ainthesamewithoutu’s second in a row. The filly has now won three of her four Open level ventures with an additional second-place finish. In 21 seasonal starts, Ainthesamewithoutu has bankrolled $91,745 for breeder-owner-trainer Anette Lorentzon.

Live racing will resume Saturday (Dec. 17) at Dayton Raceway with first post at 4 p.m. Free programs are always available online. For more information on the facility and live racing season, visit the Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway website.
