Zeron swept the $8.40 early daily double with imported favorites Zach Maguire N ($4) in the $10,000 pacing opener (1:54.4) and Whether Or Not Fi ($3.80) in the $20,000 second race trot (life-best 1:56).

The consecutive Zeron three-peat was finished when people’s preference Rock Icon ($4.40) won the $10,000 third race pace (1:54.2).

His fourth winner came behind a sharp Vegas Rocks ($6.70) in the $17,500 sixth race pace (1:52.3), while No. 5 was a just-up Don’tforgetmaster ($3.60) in the $16,000 seventh race trot (1:58.1).

Zeron’s happy half-dozen concluded in the $17,500 pacing finale, with an odds-on Zoe Ellasen ($3.50) holding sway (1:53.2).

Special Thursday props to the venerable veteran Great Vintage (Austin Siegelman, $4.40), who scorched the $17,500 eighth race pace in a season’s-best 1:51. The 11-year-old son of American Ideal widened to 5-3/4 lengths for a 49th career victory.
