Barn fire at Ohio Fairgrounds kills eight horses

Columbus, OH — According to a story on the WEWS-ABC 5 Cleveland website, a fire that broke out early Saturday morning at the Richland County Fairgrounds in Mansfield, Ohio, killed eight Standardbreds.

It was reported that the fire took place in a barn owned by Charlie Cochran of Mansfield. He had just returned to the barn early Saturday morning after racing his horses at Scioto Downs in Columbus.
