Big night for Callahan, Crissman at Harrington

Harrington, DE — Driver Corey Callahan and trainer Chuck Crissman enjoyed a successful Tuesday night (Oct. 13) at Harrington Raceway, posting a grand slam and a hat trick, respectively, and also partnering to take the night’s featured event.

Callahan and Crissman teamed up with Bret Sliwka’s Shezallapples A ($48.40) for a 23-1 upset in the $18,000 Fillies and Mares Open.

Favorite Artrageous led the field through fractions :27.2 and :56.4 before receiving heavy pressure from Abuelita Hanover to three-quarters in 1:24.4. Meanwhile, Shezallapples A gathered momentum from third-over and surged off cover in deep stretch for a one-length win over Artful Dancer and Lil O’Reilly, stopping the timer in 1:53.4.

Montrell Teague also notched a driving double.
