Campbellville, ON — Sunshine Beach, driven by Chris Christoforou, made a big statement when he captured his division of the Somebeachsoomewhere Stakes in 1:49.2 this past Saturday at Mohawk.
The son of Somebeachsomewhere remains a perfect two-for-two as he heads into his North America Cup elimination this Saturday at the Campbellville oval.
An $85,000 yearling purchase, Sunshine Beach has banked $81,300 in career earnings for owners Diane Bertrand, Conrad Leber and Hudson Standrdbrd Stb Inc.
Earlier today, trainer Mark Steacy’s son, Shawn, who is a vital part of the operation, offered his thoughts on Sunshine Beach.
