Ottawa, OH — Racing concluded at the Putnam County Fair in Ottawa, Ohio on Wednesday (June 26) with an eight-race card. The program consisted of six colt and filly stakes along with two Signature Series races.

John Hubbell’s Lily Adonno (Softys Smarty-Chiere’s Gal) took the fastest division of the 2-year-old filly trot in 2:11.1. Ed Greeno, Sr. trains the filly with Ed Greeno, Jr. doing the driving. The other split went to Iron Princess (Iron Duke-Kiwi Song) in 2:12.2. Ron Randall is the owner-trainer-driver of Iron Princess.

Kevin Beckstedt piloted Coverlet (His Highness-Hey Kelsi) to victory in the lone division of the 3-year-old filly trot. Ron Wulber is the owner and trainer of the filly. Coverlet toured the Ottawa oval in 2:07.1.

Forever Kissed (Stand Forever-Western Kisser) captured the fastest split of the 3-year-old colt pace in 1:58.3. Bill Webb trains the gelding and also co-owns him with Denny Miller. Mark Headworth had the winning catch-drive on Forever Kissed. Retrieve Forever (Stand Forever-Retrieve Almahurst) came home first in the other division after a mile in 2:05. Tyler Rush drove the gelding for trainer Brian Brown with Country Club Acres Inc., D.J. Wozniak and Kalinoski Standardbreds picking up the expenses.

Rosemary LeVan’s Blackhawk Lookout (Look Sharp-Ashley’s Attack) was victorious in the only division of the 2-year-old colt pace. Jack Dailey did the driving with Herb LeVan performing the training duties. Blackhawk Lookout covered the Putnam County Fair twice-around in 2:14.

Mike Evans guided Show Me Glory to the winner’s circle in the fastest division of the Gene Abbe Pace, which is a part of the Signature Series. Evans also trains the 6-year-old stallion with Jason Solomon and Mark Nolan paying the bills. Show Me Glory’s winning time was 1:59. The other split went to Royalton Star in 1:59.1. Maynard Raker trains the gelding and also co-owns him with his son Mike. The winning drive on Royalton Star went to Mark Headworth.
