Riviting Rosie won the Peaceful Way final in wire-to-wire fashion on Saturday night at Mohawk Racetrack.

Riveting Rosie, driven by Paul MacDonell, was the fastest off the gate to take command.

The John Bax trainee continued to hold the lead, putting up soft factions of :28.3, :58.2 and 1:27.3.

Game On Hanover (Sylvain Filion) was the first to make a move from fourth past the half, but once Riveting Rosie entered the stretch, the 2-year-old trotting filly pulled away from the pack to capture the lucrative final by two lengths in 1:56.1.

Elimination winner Grammas Girl (Randy Waples) was second as Game On Hanover faded to third. Prior to post time, elimination winner Danica Hall was a late vet scratch.

“She got a little bit jammed up last week and Paul was able to get her out where she was out of trouble tonight,” said Bax, from the winner’s circle. “She is a game filly so I was pretty happy to see where she was.

“She always had that attitude (of a top filly) and wanted to go ahead,” he added. “She was close to being aggressive. I wouldn’t say I thought she was going to be like this, but I am alright with it.”

Riveting Rosie has never been worse than third in her debut season. The daughter of Muscle Mass-Rose De Vie Stena has a record of 5-1-1 from seven starts and with the lion’s share of the purse lifts her earnings to C$368,613 for owners Parkhill Stud Farm, Don Allensen, J And T Stable, John Hayes.

Riveting Rosie returned $4.60, $3.40 and $2.90, combining with Grammas Girl ($14.60, $6.90) for a $71.80 (5-4) exactor. A 5-4-1 (Game On Hanover, $9.50) $1 triactor was worth $208.10, while a $1 Superfecta [5-4-1-10 (White Becomes Her)] came back $4,005.75.
