Roberts, Hanners star on Wednesday at Rosecroft

Ft. Washington, MD — Jonathan Roberts won three races and Austin Hanners swept the Wednesday night (Feb. 3) features at Rosecroft Raceway.

After three days of snow and other mixed precipitation, the track was labeled good with a -1 variant on the 35 degree night.

Hanners won the $12,500 Open Pacing Mares Handicap for a second straight week, this time at 5-1, with Bet You Im Rockin for owner-trainer John Wagner. Last week Hanners pulled a 39-1 shocker with the 5-year-old Rockin Amadeus offspring. She is a perfect three-for-three in 2021. Roberts secured wins with Magic Filly, Pazza Hanover and Cougar Hall, the latter breaking a two-year losing streak.

Jared Moyer continued his strong start to the meet, winning two races, as he and Frank Milby have each won eight over the first five nights of the meet. Moyer won with Emma Clare and Pats A Keeper. Eric Davis won a pair with Sunburst Itis and Miss Waterbuffalo; he trains the latter horse as well.
