Batavia, NY – The final night of racing for 2025 at Batavia Downs is this Saturday (Dec. 20) and the track is going out with a bang as they offer two carryover pools with huge guarantees and mandatory payouts for both, and featured in the first and last races of the night.
After racing concluded on Wednesday (Dec. 17) without anyone hitting these wagers, there will be a $1,312 carryover in the Pick-5 wager in the first race and a $2,004 carryover in the Jackpot Super Hi-5 pentafecta in the 15th race this Saturday and the management at Batavia Downs has announced that both pools will be guaranteed at $10,000 each, with a mandatory payout due to closing day at the end of the year.
These guarantees are made in conjunction with the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program and as such, full past performance forms will be free to download (when available) for all races involved in both wagers from the USTA website (ustrotting.com) under the Handicapping tab.
The Pick-5 at Batavia Downs is a 50-cent minimum wager that starts in race one and runs through race five, and the Jackpot Super Hi-5 pentafecta is a 20-cent minimum wager in race 15.
Post time for the first race is 6 p.m.
Saturday night will also feature a slate of activities during Fan Appreciation Night with something for everyone, regardless of age.
Promotions include $2 betting vouchers on a first-come, first-served basis (the first 100 customers) and $1 programs onsite. Fans will also have a chance to win a variety of prizes by spinning the Batavia Downs Prize Wheel. There will also be a meet and greet with drivers before the races, where you can take pictures and get autographs.
For the kids, there will be a special Grinch versus Elf showdown race on the track and then they can visit Santa Claus in his special Finish Line Suite in the grandstand.
And after the last race, year-end awards will be presented trackside.
It all starts at 4 p.m. with the first post time at 5 p.m.
