Columbus, OH — Last year’s Lady Pace Award winner Tammy Hoovler announced that she has raised approximately $3,100 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. According to tradition, Lady Pace Award honorees chose and solicit donations to their favorite charity.
“I would like to sincerely thank all who contributed to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society,” said Hoovler, who was presented the 2012 Lady Pace Award in the winner’s circle on Little Brown Jug Day (Sept. 20) last year. “The donation will be made in memory of Sharon Hoovler (her husband Skip’s sister) and Thomas S. Terry (Little Brown Jug Manager of Marketing Phil Terry’s brother), both of whom were victims of this ugly disease.”
The Lady Pace Award recognizes commitment by a woman to the sport of harness racing.
Donations to this memorial are still being accepted. Checks can be made payable to the “National Multiple Sclerosis Society” and mailed to them at: 6155 Rockside Rd., Building Ste. 202, Independence, OH 44131.
