Due to flooding in the area, Monday night’s (Sept. 11) program at MGM Yonkers Raceway has been canceled.
Rosecroft Qualifiers Postponed to Wednesday
The qualifying races scheduled for Tuesday (Sept. 12) have been postponed until Wednesday (Sept. 13) at 11:00 a.m. The track will also be open for training from 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Plainridge Park cancels Monday’s card
Due to heavy rain that moved through Plainville once again on Monday (Sept. 11) that had an adverse impact on the track, racing at Plainridge Park was canceled after the first race for the safety of all involved. Live racing will resume at Plainridge on Tuesday (Sept. 12) with post time at 2 p.m.
Shenandoah Downs prepares to usher in Seven-Week Fall Harness Racing Season this Saturday
Shenandoah Downs will open its eighth fall season of pari-mutuel harness racing on Saturday (Sept. 16) at the Shenandoah County Fairgrounds in Woodstock and continue its seven-week “Harness The Mountain Magic” campaign through October 29. Racing will take place every Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. The track conducted a sevn-week spring meet for the first time earlier this year.

The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association will continue its 2023 Ohio County Fair racing season with livestreaming coverage from the Wayne County Fair in Wooster and the Wyandot County Fair in Upper Sandusky on Tuesday (Sept. 12).

A loaded 15-race card has been drawn for Wednesday night (Sept. 13) at Batavia Downs and it features the $440,000 New York Sire Stake Excelsior finals. A total of 64 state-bred Standardbreds will start in eight $55,000 Excelsior divisions and combined with seven overnight events valued at $71,500, the total purses up for grabs that night total $511,500.
