Hollar voted 2024 Rambling Willie Honoree
The Ohio Chapter of the United States Harness Writers Association has selected Amy Hollar to receive the prestigious Rambling Willie Award recognizing the Ohioan who has done the most for harness racing over the past two decades. The popular and indefatigable Cuyahoga Falls resident has been MGM Northfield Park’s Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association track representative since 2001, serving under five OHHA general managers.
Tarpon Springs S wins Sunday Philly feature
The Uncle Lasse gelding Tarpon Springs S, a recent import from Sweden, won his second race in as many starts on U.S. soil when he triumphed in the $12,000 featured trot during the next-to-last card of the year at Harrah’s Philadelphia on Sunday (Dec. 29).
Noted track photography business ends with Freehold closing
