A week after posting the fastest win time of the current Rosecroft Raceway meet with a 1:49 victory in a conditioned pace, Sheer Terror again cracked the 1:50 barrier on Monday (April 28), holding off Don’tmesswithles for a 1:49.4 score in the $12,000 Open Pace and kicking off a five-win night for driver Jonathan Roberts.

Todd McCarthy circled Women Layer to the top and muscled through a quick mile to score easily again in his $50,000 division for the second preliminary of Kentucky Sire Stakes (KYSS) at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel on Monday afternoon (April 28).

Brenda Teague’s Hundred Dollar Man was a 1:53.3 winner in the $17,000 Open Pace feature Monday (April 28) at Harrington Raceway. The 4-year-old Lather Up gelding emerged from the pocket full of pace to eclipse the pacesetter Itsrockandroll A in deep stretch for his 11th career win for trainer Clyde Francis. Its Rockandroll A was second with Ats Hanover third.

The Six Pack filly Halfadozen had been the only 3-year-old trotting miss to sweep her three Bobby Weiss Series preliminaries, but come the $50,000 Weiss Championship on Monday (April 28) afternoon at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania, the crowd still dismissed her at 12-1. The tote board did not dismay her at all, though, as she posted a lifetime mark of 1:55 in taking her Weiss crown and remaining undefeated in four seasonal starts.
