Hanover, PA – According to a Facebook post by Hanover Shoe Farms Farm Manager Patti Murphy, there has been a “devastating” fire there on Sunday (April 12).
Following is Murphy’s post:
“Hanover Shoe Farms suffered a devastating barn fire on Sunday April 12th sadly losing 14 horses but no personnel were injured and no outside owned horses were involved. We appreciate everyone that has expressed concern and would like them to know that the remaining horses from the barn involved are safe in the surrounding fields with access to water and grass. We would like to express our deep gratitude to the firefighters who responded to the call and our staff for everything they were able to do.”
