Batavia, NY — Due to the cancellation of the February 24 card of racing at Batavia Downs that closed out the winter meet, there is a $4,250.57 carryover pool in the Jackpot Hi-5 wager that will be offered in the 15th race on Saturday (July 26) and that pool will be a mandatory payout.
To further enhance this betting opportunity, management at Batavia Downs has announced that the pool will be guaranteed at $7,500 through the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering program. As part of that program, Trackmaster will also provide free full past performance forms that can be downloaded when they become available at handicapping.ustrotting.com.
The Jackpot Hi-5 at Batavia Downs is a 20-cent minimum wager and the estimated post time for the 15th race on Saturday is 10:40 p.m. Post time for the first race is 6 p.m.
Saturday is opening night of the 2025 live summer/fall racing season at Batavia Downs and there is also New York Sire Stake action on tap with a single field of eight 3-year-old pacing fillies going postward for a purse of $121,800. Plus there are three $20,000 NYSS Excelsior Series races for 3-year-old pacing fillies and the weekly Open pacing feature that goes for $13,500.
And as always throughout the entire meet, free full card past performance programs for every live card of racing at Batavia can always be downloaded at The Downs’ website (bataviadownsgaming.com) under the “Live Racing” tab and all the racing action can be viewed as it happens for free at the Batavia Downs Live Stream on YouTube.
