Middletown, NY — The 2025 Goshen Yearling Sale was held on Monday (Sept. 15) in the sales arena at the Mark Ford Training Center and a total of 110 yearlings changed hands, generating sales of $1,653,960, with the overall individual average sale price of $15,036 being achieved.
Cameo Hills Farm had a big afternoon as they sold the sale topper (Hip #60) Strapped (Captain Corey-Borrow And Spend). The trotting colt was purchased for $75,000 by David Hamm of Dagsboro, Delaware.
Cameo Hills also sold the next two highest priced yearlings in pacing filly (Hip #91) Happy Papi (Papi Rob Hanover-Happy Hannah) for $70,000 and pacing colt (Hip #105) Keystone Pillar (Huntsville-Keystone Krystal) for $40,000, which were also purchased by David Hamm of Dagsboro, Delaware.
Hamm bought a total of seven yearlings in the sale.
Cameo Hills was once again the top consignor of the sale, selling a total of 40 yearlings from their farm and as an agent, for a total of $629,490 (an average of $15,737).
Tying Keystone Pillar for the third highest sale price ($40,000) was trotting filly (Hip #34) Bijou Blue Chip (Back Of The Neck-Read The Book) which was purchased by Annie Stoebe of New Egypt, New Jersey.
Winbak Farms yielded $311,500 in sales (an average of $12,326), Blue Chip Farm saw sales of $289,000 (an average of $22,230), Leatherstocking Equine brought a total of $215,000 (an average of $13,438) and Eric Teddeo had sales of $196,000 (an average of $14,000). These numbers include the total of horses sold as both farm and agent.
Broken down by sex and gait, 29 pacing colts averaged $14,690, 33 pacing fillies averaged $13,894, 21 trotting colts averaged $17,619 and 27 trotting fillies averaged $14,796.
