IRB announces changes to Board

Chicago, IL – The Illinois Racing Board announced today (Sept. 4) that Thomas McCauley, a member of the Board, has resigned effective immediately. Mr. McCauley was initially appointed to the Board in 2014 and reappointed in 2017.

IRB Chairman Dan Beiser said, “The Illinois horse racing industry has benefited immensely from Tom’s service over the years and will definitely miss his valuable input. On a personal note I will be forever grateful for his assistance and friendship.”

Arlene Mulder’s term on the Board recently expired and she was not reappointed. Serving on the Board since January 2015, her experience as the former mayor of Arlington Heights was an ideal addition to the Board.
