Scootnroll remains undefeated, wins Pocono feature

Wilkes-Barre, PA — Scootnroll kept his undefeated record intact with a 1:52.3 victory — the seventh of his career — in a $10,400 conditioned pace on Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 22) at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono.

Roll With Dom controlled a :28.2 first quarter before both Scootnroll and P-Drive Hanover made their moves: P-Drive Hanover made the top first before Scootroll was kept in high gear by Tyler Buter to gain command past the :56.1 half. After Scootroll achieved the lead, he faced no further threat, passing three-quarters in 1:24.4 before coming home in :27.4 to defeat P-Drive Hanover by 4-1/4 lengths.

The 3-year-old son of Roll With Joe and Billmar Scooter opened his career with five wins in Excelsior Series throughout New York, including a 1:52.1 win at Vernon Downs before being purchased by Rick and Geoffrey Howles. He has now won both of his starts to date for the Howleses and trainer John Hallett, having won an overnight race at Tioga easily before capturing his Pocono debut.

The Napolitano brothers, Anthony and George Jr., accounted for three driving victories apiece.

Racing resumes on Saturday (Sept. 26) at 12:30 p.m., with a $218,268.10 carryover in the Rainbow Pick-5.
